The Importance Of Thinking Positively
Positive or creative thought is the most powerful and important factor in our lives.
Most people take 'thinking' for granted - thoughts are just thoughts, they come and they go - so what are we bothered about?
We are referring to MIND USE which is such a dominant factor in health and healing.
"We are what we think ago Dr. Coue healed countless people of many diseases by teaching them to think positively and repeating twenty times each day 'Every day and in every way I feel better and better'. Coue's repeated sentence meant that the mind was controlled, thought was positive and the result - healing was taking place in the physical body reaching every tiny cell.
The power of thought is mind-boggling. Positive thought heals and conversely negative thinking fills our bodies with poisons and disease develops. Our thoughts are reflected in our bodies all of the time.
This is a new concept for some people and difficult to accept. But there are one or two illustrations, which may be helpful. For instance, if we suffer a great shock we often say 'It went straight to my stomach was absorbed by the mind and this produced discomfort in the stomach and the feeling of sickness. An dif somebody says 'you do look weary and tired today' then the person concerned feels tired and disheartened because these negative thoughts have affected her. On the other hand if somebody who is not well meets a friend who says 'How lovely to see you and you're looking so much better' that happy, creative thoughts is healing and enters into the one who is unwell and she feels so much better.
From these examples we can understand that we all affect each other. Sometimes without even saying anything we can feel happy and comfortable with somebody and very different with another person. And this brings me to a very important point. We should all remember that all our thoughts are very powerful; they not only affect us but those around us.
Many of you reading this will be suffering pain; it is understandable that you become depressed and perhaps a bit irritable and even feel that life is not worth living. But this is an attitude of defeat and the very depression and perhaps resentment, cause more poisons to be released into the bloodstream, thus adding fuel to the fires of disease.
Changing out thoughts from negative to positive is not easy but it can be managed with practice and resolution. The first thing is to focus your thoughts on something outside of yourself - recognize a sunny day and say 'how lovely everything looks in the sunshine, I'm going to enjoy today'. Immediately your pain will not be quite so bad and you will feel happier. Or think of all the things for which you are grateful (we all have some if we look for them) and say 'thank you'. This is another positive statement!
There is much that you can do for yourself. At the beginning of each day if you sit quietly and think of 'PEACE' - that you are full of peace; that you are in a peaceful place - perhaps you can visualize walking along by the sea as the waves lap gently on the sand, or on soft grass by a river where the wild flowers grow and birds sing overhead; you will begin to feel an inner peace and healing will be taking place.
This is a book to be read and re-read because it reaches us to heal ourselves and other people. Jack has been healing the sick for thirty years and he shares his knowledge and experiences.
Do not give up. You can do so much to help yourself and creative thought is the most important of all the entire 'Do' s' that have been mentioned.
